Mother’s Day wasn’t much of a break for Mummy A. We’re currently staying at the in-laws but are planning to move back next week. No place like home, eh?
So, having not been home for a few weeks, it was time to go back and do a bit of a spring clean. We spent 5 hours cleaning and getting Baby A’s room ready. It was a busy day, but I learnt a few things from doing the tidy:
- Our dresser drawer can hold over 200 nappies.
- The cupboard under the stairs is like the Tardis. It’s amazing what you can fit in there! *
- The cot mobile plays the second most annoying music known to man.
- The playmat has a toy which plays the most annoying music known to man. It also puts commercial alarms to shame – it starts playing at the slightest movement.
- The playmat music toy has no OFF switch.
- You can fit 70 nappies in a standard baby box and still have room left for a few packets of baby wipes.
- I now judge storage space based on how many nappies can fit.
* we managed to fit a vacuum cleaner, 2 floor cleaners, 3 dust pans, 3 brushes, a feather duster, 2 torches, 6 dishcloths, a tin of paint, 2 buckets, lots of carrier bags, 2 tool boxes, a box of washing powder, 2 fairy liquid bottles, an old newspaper, 4 large saucepan and a partridge in a pear tree.
