Speaking of Wii….the Wii remote

wiiwiiDoes anyone remember the fuss made when the Wii first came out? Apparently people were playing so vigorously that they were flinging their remotes all over the place. It caused Nintendo to issue wrist straps and advice such as “use a firm grip, don’t let go“.

Thanks Nintendo.

I have a habit of flinging my cue about when playing snooker, so this is perfect advice. Obviously. Actually I think this cartoon from Penny Arcade sums it up.

Speaking of Wii….

Mummy A was not too impressed by the fact that we now have a Wii and a Playstation 2. That’s on top of the DS Lite I bought last year (I do love my gadgets!). This is how it works: if I am playing games, then I am not spending enough time with Baby A. If I have any free time on top of that, then I should be spending it with Mummy A.

Makes sense. After all, I enjoy spending every waking moment of my life with my family. Free time? That’s for wimps.

exercising with wiiI’ve recently discovered something called the Wii Fit though. Apparently, you can use the Wii for exercise – Mummy A wants to lose a bit of weight and this is the perfect way. So in fact, the Wii is a pretty good present after all.

And while she is busy exercising, maybe I will just check out that Playstation thingy – just to make sure it works…..

Best present EVER

I like to think of my brother as a bit of an eccentric. A bit like me actually – still loves his gadgets and toys!

Knowing the baby was coming along, he thought long and hard about what was the best thing to get as a present. So he bought a Nintendo Wii.

Now let’s face it – a Wii is a pretty great present to get, I’m not exactly going to give it back am I? Just…maybe not ideal for a week old baby.

My brother loves his little nephew. He was quite excited when Ayaan was born – he can’t stop taking pictures and loves holding him. Being a bloke, however, he is completely oblivious about what to get a baby as a gift.

The day after he was born, I told my brother that anything appropriate (clothes, toys, etc) would be good as a present.

…So he bought a Playstation.
